Natural Selections: Domesticating Foxes

Since 1959, the Russian geneticist Dmitri Belyaev and his successors have been experimenting in the domestication of a new species, the arctic fox. By breeding for human-friendly behavior, they found that physical traits we associate with domestic animals also developed.
